HOW is eyia™ DIFFERENT?

We have trusted and respected partnerships

We are proactive, and partner with local, regional, state, and national organisations in early childhood education, primary school education, allied health, medical services and government funded organisations.

We provide appropriate support, connections, and guidance to families, and organisations associated with them.

We are informed by reliable and ethically reviewed evidence.

We are independent, and not a branch of an organisation, enabling freedom to interact, react and respond.

WHAT Does EYIA™ KNOW FROM RESEARCH?

We know the early years of a child’s life is crucial for brain development.

We know all children have the right to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

We know child associated organisations have the responsibility to support the best interest of each child especially those disadvantaged (www.unicef.org, n.d.).

We know it is imperative to respect and support families in the education of skills and capabilities to assist young children to transition smoothly to school in Australia (Docket et al., 2011).

We know children in the care of adults, who are not integrating in the community, are at risk of further challenges later in life (Torii & O’ Connell, 2017).

We know reciprocal partnerships cam develop when educators and practitioners work with respect and deeply understand and value family perspectives (Hadley & Rouse, 2018).

We know children living in Australia who experience language delays could be at risk of developmental disorders (Raising Children Network, 2023).

How can we help with stakeholders or sponsors?

We would like help to reach more young children less than six years of age from refugee and disadvantaged immigrant families living in Australia.

If a long standing partnership is not possible, please consider sponsoring our projects so our volunteers can reach more young children who are disadvantaged, and support their families in a culturally responsive way to integrate in Australia.

We are happy to explain our projects, programs, strategic plan, principles, and practices in detail with interested sponsors and related organisations eager to work in unison with us

HOW DOES EYIA™ ADVOCATE?

Our voluntary work with families aims to find ways to help them with their young children feel a sense of belonging in local communities through advocacy and strong partnerships with stakeholders. This is achieved through collaboration in projects alongside stakeholders in early childhood education, primary schools, local, state and federal government organisations, and likeminded charities.
